Speech Lessons Week 1 – Intro week (Fall)

August 27-31, 2012

Monday –  Students will be given paperwork, assigned seating, copy the “Respect Essay” and  give their insight into KS, SS, OTC and how I can help move them forward.

Tuesday –  Students will turn in their paperwork and receive classroom instructions as well as  discuss classroom rules.

Wednesday –  Students will take the Personality Test.  and get to know each other with a verbal quiz regarding their classmates at the end of the session.

Thursday –  Students will view the trophy Hall and the accomplishments of those who have gone on before them.  There will then be a discussion on making their mark and what their legacy will be in the school and the world.

Friday –  Students will  begin watching DEAD POET’S SOCIETY .


Speech Lessons Week 17 Persuasive Speeches

April 30-May 4, 2012

Monday – Students will go to the Plato Lab to research their PERSUASIVE SPEECHES.

Tuesday – Students will go to the Plato Lab to research their PERSUASIVE SPEECHES.

Wednesday – Students will work on their Outline, Roughdraft, and Notecard for their Speech to Persuade.

Thursday –  Students will work on their Outline, Roughdraft, and Notecard for their Speech to Persuade.

Friday – Students will work on their Outline, Roughdraft, and Notecard for their Speech to Persuade.

Speech Lesson Week 16 – Persuasive Speech

April 23-27, 2012

Monday – STAAR Test – The students will complete the worksheets for Chapter 17 on Persuasive Speeches.

Tuesday – STAAR Test –  The students will complete the REVIEW for the Chapter 17 TEST on Persuasive Speeches.

Wednesday – STAAR Test – The students will complete an ORAL REVIEW for the Chapter 17 Test on Persuasive Speeches.

Thursday – STAAR Test –  The students will take the Chapter 17 TEST on Persuasive Speeches.

Friday – The students will choose Persuasive their Speech topics.

Wednesday – Students will take notes and participate in the lecture over Section 1, Chapter 17, Persuasive Speeches

Thursday – Students will take notes and participate in the lecture over Section 2, Chapter 17, Persuasive Speeches

Friday – Students will work collectively to learn the General Vocabulary, and New Speech Terms for Chapter 17, Persuasive Speeches

Tuesday –  Students will complete the General Vocabulary and New Speech Terms, and Things to Remember worksheets.

Wednesday- Students will complete the Important Concepts worksheet.

Thursday – Students will complete the REVIEW for the Chapter 16 test.

Friday – Students will finish any worksheets and correct the Chapter Review for the Chapter 16 TEST on Monday.
