Monday – The students will REVIEW for the Chapter 11 test on Organizing your Speech.

Tuesday – The students will take the Chapter 11 TEST on Organizing  your Speech.

Wednesday – The students will go to the Plato Lab to RESEARCH information for their DEMONSTRATION SPEECH.

Thursday –  The students will work on the OUTLINE and rough draft for their DEMONSTRATION SPEECH.

Friday – The students will work on the OUTLINE and rough draft for their DEMONSTRATION SPEECH.

Speech Lessons Week 7

February 13-17, 2012

Monday – Students will learn how to organize their speeches by participating in and taking notes over the lecture for Section 1 of Chapter 11, THE INTRODUCTION.  Students will learn the vocabulary for Chapter 11.

Tuesday – Students will learn how to organize their speeches by participating in and taking notes over the lecture for Section  2 of Chapter 11, THE BODY.  Students will learn the vocabulary for Chapter 11.  Students will complete the THINGS TO REMEMBER worksheet.

Wednesday – Students will learn how to organize their speeches by participating in and taking notes over the lecture for Section 3 of Chapter 11, THE CONCLUSION.  Students will learn the vocabulary for Chapter 11.  Students will complete the IMPORTANT CONCEPTS worksheet.

Thursday – Students will complete the weeks worksheets and practice outlining form by working on the Radon Threatens Schools outline and the Organizing an Outline project.

Friday – Students will complete the weeks worksheets and practice outlining form by working on the Radon Threatens Schools outline and the Organizing an Outline project.

Speech Lessons Week 6

February 6 – 10, 2012

Monday – The students will take notes and participate in the lecture over section 2, Chapter 2, Building Confidence.

Tuesday – The students will take notes and participate in the lecture over section 2, Chapter 3, Building Confidence.

Wednesday – Students will complete the worksheets for Chapter two and work on their CHAPTER REVIEW.

Thursday – The students will take the TEST over Chapter 2, Building Confidence.

Friday – Previously absent students will make up work and tests while others will perform informal improvisation.

Speech Lessons Week 5

January 30 – February 3, 2012

Monday – The students will write Two Truths & a Lie about their lives in order to persuade their audience.

Tuesday – The students will present their Two Truths & a Lie speech in front of the class.

Wednesday – The students will complete the Vocabulary, General Speech Terms and Things to Remember worksheets for Chapter 2,  Building Confidence.

Thursday –  The students will work on the Important Concepts worksheet for Chapter 2, Building Confidence.

Friday – The students will take notes and participate in the lecture over Chapter 2, Sec 1, Building Confidence

Speech lessons Week 4

January 23-27, 2012

Monday – Students will participate in the lecture and take notes on Section 2, of Chapter 1. They will also work on the Things to Remember worksheet.

Tuesday – Students will participate in the lecture and take notes over Section 3 of Chapter 1, and work on the Important Concepts worksheet.

Wednesday – Students will finish work on the Famous People and Avoiding Stereotypes worksheets and finish up any unfinished worksheets.

Thursday – Students will take the Chapter 1 TEST on BUILDING RESPONSIBILITY.

Friday – Students will review the test and perform Improv exercises on stage.

Speech Lesson Week 3

January 16-20, 2012

Monday –   Holiday

Tuesday –  Students will work on Chapter 1,  General Vocabulary and New Speech Terms for Building Responsibility.

Wednesday – Students will present their Introductory Poem/Rap Song to the class.

Thursday – Students will listen to and take notes over Chapter 1,  Section 1 on Building Responsibility.

Friday – Students will work on the Chapter 1 worksheets – Things to Remember and Important Concepts.

Speech Lessons Week 2 (Spring)

January 9-13, 2012

Monday –  Students will answer the questions over the movie DEAD POET’S SOCIETY and be prepared to discuss it’s characters, conflicts, morals, and lessons learned.

Tuesday -Students will discuss the questions and themes of the DEAD POET’S SOCIETY and how they relate to their lives.

Wednesday –  Students will bond in an informal setting where they share things about their lives and get to know one another better.

Thursday – Students will finish their bonding time and discuss the rap song used to introduce each other.

Friday –  Students will complete the writing of their Introductory Rap songs.

 


Speech Lessons Week 1 (Spring)

January 2-6, 2012

Monday –  Students will be given paperwork, assigned seating, copy the “Respect Essay” and  give their insight into KS, SS, OTC and how I can help move them forward.

Tuesday –  Students will turn in their paperwork and receive classroom instructions as well as  discuss and make classroom rules.  Students will take the Personality Test.

Wednesday –  Students will view the trophy Hall and begin watching DEAD POET’S SOCIETY.

Thursday –  Students will watch DEAD POET’S SOCIETY.

Friday –  Students will  finish watching DEAD POET’S SOCIETY .


Speech Lessons Week 16

December 5 – 9, 2011

Monday – Students will finish up their worksheets over Chapter 17, Speeches to Persuade.

Tuesday – Students will spend a final day in the Plato lab doing research on their Speech to Persuade.

Wednesday – Students will work on their Outline, Roughdraft, and Notecard for their Speech to Persuade.

Thursday –  Students will work on their Outline, Roughdraft, and Notecard for their Speech to Persuade.

Friday – Students will begin giving their Persuasive Speeches.

November 28 -Dec 2, 20011

Monday – Students will learn the Important Concepts for Chapter 17, Speeches to Persuade.

Tuesday – Students will REVIEW for the Chapter 17 Test tomorrow.

Wednesday – Students will take the Chapter 17 TEST on Speeches to Persuade.

Thursday – Students will go to the Plato Lab and do research for their Persuasive Speech.

Friday –  Students will go to the Plato Lab and do research for their Persuasive Speech.
