Monday – Holiday

Tuesday – Students will participate in the lecture and take notes on Section 2, of Chapter 1. They will also work on the Things to Remember worksheet.

Wednesday – Students will participate in the lecture and take notes over Section 3 of Chapter 1, and work on the Important Concepts worksheet.

Thursday – Students will work on the Famous People and Avoiding Stereotypes worksheets and finish up any unfinished worksheets.

Friday – Students will take the finish the Chapter 1 worksheets.

August 29 – September 2, 2011

Monday – Students will complete the movie DEAD POET’S SOCIETY and answer questions.

Tuesday – Students will pair up and write a poem or a song introducing themselves and their interests to the class.

Wednesday – Students will present their Introductory Poem/Song to the class.

Thursday – Students will listen to and take notes over Chapter 1,  Section 1 on Building Responsibility.

Friday – Students will listen and take notes over Chapter 1, Section 2 on Building Confidence

August 22 – 26, 2011

Monday –  Students will be given paperwork, assigned seating, copy the “Respect Essay” and  give their insight into KS, SS, OTC and how I can help move them forward.

Tuesday –  Students will turn in their paperwork and receive classroom instructions as well as  discuss and make classroom rules.

Wednesday –  Students will view the trophy Hall and begin watching DEAD POET’S SOCIETY.

Thursday –  Students will watch DEAD POET’S SOCIETY.

Friday –  Students will  finish watching DEAD POET’S SOCIETY and answer the questions about the movie, morals and lessons learned and how they can apply that to Speech class and their lives.

May 16- 20 , 2011

Monday- Students will present their Informative Speeches.

Tuesday – Students will present their Informative Speech.

Wednesday –  Students will be lectured on and complete worksheets on Chapter 18, Extemporaneous and Impromptu speaking.

Thursday –  Students will be lectured on and complete worksheets on Chapter 18, Extemporaneous and Impromptu speaking.

Friday –  Students will be lectured on and complete worksheets on Chapter 18, Extemporaneous and Impromptu speaking.
